What are Skin Infections?

Skin infections can be bacterial, fungal or viral.

Treatment will depend on the nature of the infection.

The Dermatologist will perform investigations (tests) such as swabs, scrapings, biopsies and blood tests to determine the cause of the infection and to direct the most appropriate treatment.
